Growing up in a military family and becoming aware of her Third Culture Kid identity, Chantal has overcome personal struggles that cultivated an ambition to express her voice through visual and written language. Her heritage as a Nunatsiavut Inuk and German citizen has shaped her ideas about culture and the lasting effects of colonialism on society. She emphasizes the consequences that neoliberal capitalism has on people’s behaviors and beliefs, and how it feels to navigate through settler society as an indigenous womyn.

By critiquing popular culture, she feels empowered to express her true self, and find self love. Chantal hopes to share her experience, encourage her audience to critically assess one’s surroundings, and gauge their own privilege.

Chantal is a Nunatsiavut Inuk who currently is a guest on Ohlone lands. She is the co-founder of Indigenous Honeys.
